This dynamic panel will explore important trends that are driving the need to build a diverse workforce in health and long-term care. Panelists will offer multiple perspectives on the need to address a workforce that is aging and retiring, while cultivating new entrants. We will also explore policy initiatives aimed at creating a diverse workforce and highlight opportunities to combat ageism and other inequities that are barriers to progress. Join us for an end of the day “speed” networking session with leaders in our field. This special session will give conference attendees the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with up to three conference speakers and planning committee members who are leaders in the aging, healthcare, policy and advocacy fields. Attendees will be paired with mentors on a first come, first serve basis when they register for the conference. During this session, attendees will develop connections and gain insights from these mentors regarding what drives them, and the role we all can play to create a strong aging community. Session participants will have the option to meet with the following mentors:
